Senior Academy Ballet

Class 1: Monday's from 6:30-7:15pm

Registering for our ballet program will give your dancer outstanding technique to benefit them in all areas of their training. Teaching from the Russian Society of Ballet Syllabus, your dancer will learn to perfect their posture, flexibility, grace, discipline and overall ballet technique. Interested in more? Evolve's Senior Academy Ballet class pairs well with Lyrical, Jazz, Tap and Acro classes.

Senior Academy Lyrical/Contemporary

Class 1: Wednesday's from 5:45-6:30pm

Lyrical and Contemporary dance incorporates jazz, ballet and modern techniques to provide a soft style of movement. Students will be guided to understand the meaning behind a piece of music and will learn to emote a story through movement. Classes will begin with a full body warm up and stretch. Dancers will progress to lyrical technique, floor work, musicality and fluidity training. This is an incredible class for a budding dancer - students will love feeling connected with their music, teacher and peers. Interested in more? Our Senior Academy Lyrical class is scheduled back to back with our Senior Academy Jazz class.

Senior Academy Jazz

Class 1: Wednesday's from 6:30-7:15pm

This energetic and vibrant class is a studio favourite. This weekly class begins with a full body warm up, stretch and strength exercises, skill and technique work and a jazz combination to end the class. Jazz is an upbeat, exciting class that combines technical elements in a fast-paced and energetic environment. This class is a great way to help your coordination, build flexibility and increase body awareness. Interested in more? This class is scheduled back to back with our Senior Academy Acro and Senior Academy Lyrical/Contemporary class.

Senior academy acro   

Class 1: Wednesday's from 7:30-8:15pm

Do you have a child that is interested in improving their flexibility and strength while also working on acrobatics tricks? Intermediate Acro is for students with little experience in acrobatic training. The start of the season will focus on working your dancer through the fundamentals of acrobatic dance. Once they have mastered the basics, your dancer will continue to be challenged with bigger and more exciting skills. Our intermediate acro participants will work their way through a list of goals and accomplishments over the course of the season. Upon finishing this list, your dancer will be eligible to move into our advanced acro class. Interested in more? Our Senior Academy Acro class is scheduled back to back with our Senior Academy Hip Hop class and our Senior Academy Jazz class. 

Evolve offers an Advanced Acro Technique class for dancers/gymnast/cheerleaders with 3+ years of experience. Please contact us today if you are interested in learning more about this class.

Senior Academy Hip Hop 

Class 1: Wednesday's from 8:15-9:00pm

This energetic and vibrant class is a studio favourite. Each week features technique and a new, trendy combination of movement. Our Hip Hop classes will teach your dancer confidence, coordination and mind-body connection. Your child will look forward to this positive and energetic class each and every week! Interested in more? Our Senior Academy Hip Hop class is scheduled back to back with our Senior Academy Acro class.

Senior Academy tap 

Class 1: Thursday's from 8:00-8:45pm

This energetic and inspiring class is focused on music theory, the history of tap dance, rhythm and understanding of fundamental tap steps. Tap is a stimulating and engaging class for dancers who love music and rhythm. Dancers will be taught steps of varying difficulty throughout the year, allowing your dancer to master skills at their own pace. Teen Tap offers an inclusive and social tap experience. Interested in more? Our Tap classes pair well with our ballet, hiphop, jazz, lyrical and acro programs.
